Fashionista Alert! Fashion Meets Art - Bali Fashion Week VII will be held on November 22-25, 2007 at the Discovery Kartika Plaza Resort, Kuta, Bali.

As usual, they have some agendas such as seminars, talkshow and discussion, trade show and expos, some art which combined with fashion performances, and some international designer’s fashion show.

This event will be highlighted by some familiar name on Bali's fashion scene such as Oka Diputra, Putu Aliki, Muji Ananta, and many more.

However, this event is expected to boost Bali's economical condition through its tourism and fashion business aspects.

What interesting for this year's event is the participation of Philippine-based international fashion designer, Rajo Laurel, which known for his avant-garde collection. (We will review him on the next article!) confirmed that he will join BALI FASHION WEEK VII on November 22-24, 2007 at the Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel to display some of his premium works in recent years.

For this year’s BALI FASHION WEEK VII, Rajo will present 20 outfits that showcase elements of Philippine Ifugao tribe; piña (pineapple), tule, raw silk, and denims. Musical background shall be provided by multi-awarded Philippine international band Rivermaya.

This year’s BALI FASHION WEEK VII will also be the first time that Philippine fashion designers have been invited to participate in Indonesia’s major fashion event. It promises to bring in the best that Asia has to offer and to share it with the rest of the world, with Bali as the perfect backdrop of inspiring artistry, cultural exchange, and camaraderie.

Approximately 3,000 people from all over the world are expected to attend the 3-day fashion event. Moreover, BALI FASHION WEEK VII is supported and sponsored by Department Perindustrian and Perdagangan Republik Indonesia, KADIN Indonesia, API, APPMI, IPMI, Garuda Indonesia, Bali TV, and Fashion TV.
