Fe and Me were attending the Metissages - a crossbreeding of contemporary art and textiles, few days ago. Actually I have several snap shots from the event itself, but I will post them daily to provide a maximum coverage of each snap shot style. :) If I put the all together, I believe you will not really notice the uniqueness point of each individual style. :) So...enjoy!

This is the first one, Harry Darsono, one of my favorite designer who also contributed on the event through his creative and complicated art on a piece of clothes, which shaped almost like a kimono. The title of the piece is Naive. A lot of embroideries, handmade application and many details more were applicated on the art piece.

As seen on the picture, he was wearing a shirt, a vest, jeans, and coat. Notice how he put all the things together, and combined with his hairstyle and hair color. He himself was just like a piece of art to me. What do you think?

A bit about Harry Darsono:
He was one of the earlier fashion designer in Indonesia. His collection have been worn by world famous politicians, celebrities, and many more. Written in one article that I read few years ago, he has IQ above average, which caused him to be very energetic and always loaded with creativity, ideas, and activities. His motoric nerve works twice harder and faster than average people. It might be the reason why his creation has always been so magnificant and gorgeous.

One of his collection that I love the most was the latest wedding gown with 20's style, empire waist line, pump sleeves, lacey hair application, and wings which looks so elegant and spectacular to me. His wedding gown differs from the other who only use white frilly stuff at that time.

He also had a Harry Darsono Museum in his house, Jl. Cilandak Tengah No. 71 Jakarta Selatan, showing most of his collections, his creations, fabrics, textilles, imported fabrics, and more important is the fashion library.
