a strapless dress is always look awesome for me hahaha nyari strapless dress yang bagus dan ga terlalu mahal dimana ya? hehe :P
The strapless dress does definitely better in picture 2. In picture one, the combination of the cardigan with the dress is definitely not a good mix to me.
For the trench coat...a classic that can be worn classy or sporty and it goes with everything!

For the straples dress, I like the first one with the grandpa cardigans. Looks chic and not too plain.
For the trench coat, nothing looks appealing to me. Either too plain, too much, or too dull.
:) I have the same opinion as Daphne. I like the first picture for the dress. Love the details, especially the color composition, the angle, the shoes, and the way they put them all together. The second picture, well..I believe at least 6 out of 10 people will use the dress that way. A standard or ordinary way.
For the trench coat, well..I just don't like the trench coat. So not me. :) Too plain and too ordinary. However, if I have to choose, maybe I will choose the first picture cause of the model's shoes as a plus point.

But to me the cardigan overloads the dress, never mind, sniff sniff.. Anyway, i wouldnt myself wear neither pic 1 or 2 or not that way..
For the trench coat, it is a must have in western countries maybe the reason why we have different opinions here..
Nevertheless it partially answers Frenzy's article on 'the quest for personnal style', ladies here have already found their own ; ) and that's good

For the dress, picture 2 is better. I have to agree with Bellesdejour. The cardigan overloads the dress. The dress would look so much better without it. ^,^
For the trench coat, I like picture 1 better. The legging is great compare to picture 2. It looks all comfy in picture 1. Picture 2 defines a darker state of the trench coat. Looks a bit oldish and too formal. And picture 3 is just too laid back. Nobody could see how the trench coat would look like. The trench coat also looks oversized in picture 3. Definitely not a good picture if you try to sell the trench coat.
Because of the weather in Jakarta and my curvaceous body, I avoid wearing trench coat. I like the style in picture #2, but not the color! How about change the dress color into red, wear a chocolate pumps and shoulder bag? Look better for me. :D
For the dress, I'll combine booth. Cardigan, tights and gold pumps. Ilove tights!
