Anna Sui's Flight Of Fancy

So here's the latest perfume by our ever-so-beloved designer, Anna Sui...

Anna Sui's newest fragrance invites a girl-woman to take her chances...to open her eyes...and to emerge from a dream with self-assurance, beauty and certainty.

The fragrance notes include litchi, yuzu, lemon, star magnolia, rose, purple rain freesia, amber crystals, skin musk and white woods.

Anna Sui has been known for its feminine and romantic design. And being a 'packaging-sucker', I was already raving about this perfume even before its official launch last month - and even before I smell it.

Well how could I resist? Just one look at the exquisite bottle (and its box) is enough reason to fall into beauty's trap. And that was the main reason of my spur-of-the-moment purchase, which resulted in my being so broke a bit too early after payday. Hahah...

The smell, like other Anna Sui's perfumes, is very sweet - a combination between fruity (litchi, yuzu, and lemon) and floral (magnolia, rose, and purple rain freesia). It's actually quite similar to Sui's previous perfume, Secret Wish (which I happen to posses too.. hahah..), but slightly warmer. The warm olfactory sensation must've been derived from the use of amber, musk, and white woods.

I love it nonetheless, and I use it whenever I want to enhance my sweet, girlie, and feminine side. The smell is quite strong and stays on for long so I use it sparingly. I bought my 50 ml EDT during the launching event (at The Nine Muses Club restaurant - which fits the theme perfectly cos both have the same icon: peacock) and got some extra bonus for my purchase: 2 mini EDT and 1 small EDT vial. I kept the vial in my daily cosmetic pouch so I could reapply it anytime.

If you love sweet fragrances, then you wouldn't want to miss out in this one. But if you're not, heck, the bottle would still look good on your powder desk.
